PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, for specifically cleaving a specific nucleic acid sequence of double-stranded DNA, which allows cleavage of an arbitrary selected specific nucleic acid sequence without using a restriction enzyme. SOLUTION: A method is provided for specifically cleaving a specific nucleic acid sequence site of double-stranded DNA (target nucleic acid), wherein the light having an absorption wavelength of an intercalator is irradiated to a solution containing at least the target nucleic acid, a nucleic acid probe (single- stranded oligonucleotide) which was linked to the intercalator, and spermine. |
