PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect surely and promptly an abnormal sliding of a sliding door. SOLUTION: A control section regards the lowering of the sliding speed of the sliding door 2 as a generation of the abnormal sliding of the door 2 when the lowering of the sliding speed of the sliding door is detected when the current value of a motor 7 reaches a reference current value or more, and regards a sliding at fixed speed of the sliding door 2 as generation of the abnormal sliding of the sliding door 2 even when the current value of the motor 7 is less than the reference current value when the sliding door 2 is slid at fixed speed for a fixed time immediately before the lowering of the sliding speed of the sliding door 2 is detected.
