PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the whole plywood of a multilayer construction adapt itself to an environmental change in a short time, even when the plywood is exposed to a condition where humid environments vary significantly by forming numerous needle holes artificially on the first and the second face of the plywood and applying moisture on both first and second surfaces to adjust the moisture content. SOLUTION: A plywood 10 is set to travel between two needle rolls 20, 20 with numerous needles 21 implanted on the peripheral face, and in this process, numerous holes 11 are formed on both first and second surfaces. On the peripheral face of the roll 20, the needles of steel wire are implanted at an interval of about 20 mm in both the axial and the circumferential direction, and the plywood 10 is transferred in an arrow A direction by the rotation of the rolls 20, 20 driven by a drive source. At the same time, the needle holes 11 are formed on the first and the second surfaces of the plywood 10. Thus it is possible to avoid such circumstances as to cause a significant dimensional change in a finished product, even when an imported plywood is fabricated into the finished product immediately.
