PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an image pickup device at low cost by simplifying the configuration of the image pickup device that is controlled, while the gains of signals in plural systems are matched. SOLUTION: This image pickup device is provided with plural A/D converters 8, 9, 10 that A/D convert plural analog signals outputted from an image pickup element 1 to make them digital signals, a digital signal processing circuit 11 that performs prescribed processing on the signals digitized by the A/D converters 8, 9, 10 to generate a digital video signal, and power supply means 18, 12, 14 that are used for a common power supply of the plural A/D converters 8, 9, 10 and whose reference power supply voltage is variable. A grain, when an output signal of the image pickup element 1 is converted into a digital signal, is made controllable so that the constitution of the controllable image pickup device is simplified, while the gains of signals in plural systems are matched and the cost can be reduced.
