PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device utilized for recording and reproducing and optical information recording medium having a high recording rate and moreover capable of stablly reproducing recorded signals. SOLUTION: An optical head device is provided with a 1st laser element 11 emitting a laser beam of a 1st wavelength, a 2nd laser element 21 emitting a laser beam of a 2nd wavelength (contains the same wavelength as the 1st wavelength) and a polarizing beam splitter 13 for putting the laser beam emitted from the 2nd laser element together with the laser beam of the 1st laser element so that the both beams can be emitted on a recording layer of an optical disk D simultaneously and the laser beams from each laser element are utilized simultaneously in the case of recording information. Moreover, the wavelength of the laser beam emitted by at least either of the laser elements is set to a high energy quantity absorbing wavelength on the recording layer of the optical disk D. |
