PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically turn on and off-the power source according to whether the target for photographic survey is used or not. SOLUTION: A control part housing 20 is fixed integrally to a first columnar member 12 of the target 10. A second columnar member 14 is fitted to the flank 20c of the control part housing 20 rotatably on a hinge 15. The target 10 is provided with two tilt angle sensors 52 and 54, an azimuth sensor 86, and the power source which drives them. On the top surface 20e of the control part housing 20, a switch 85 which turns on and off the power source and an LED 89 indicating that the power source is on are provided. The switch 85 and LED 87 are hidden behind a nonreflective member 44.
