A composite gearbox fork consists a cross head (1), which is fitted with reinforcing piece (2) having a U-shaped cross-section that accepts two arms (11,12) of the cross head. After assembly with the cross head two deformations are produced in the side walls (23,24) of the piece. These deformations hook into the fork thereby connecting the piece to the cross head. |
