PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to pass through a section with different mode of power supply in power running state at high speed, by running on power received through a rear pantograph when the vehicle approaches a dead section, and, after the front pantograph have passed the dead section, running on power received through the front pantograph and going back to ordinary running. SOLUTION: When the front vehicle 11B enters a section 3 close to a dead section in a track circuit, that section signal is received and a circuit breaker CBB is opened. A pantograph 12B enters a dead section 2, and the train 11 runs on power from a trolley wire 11 through a pantograph 12A. Then the train 11 switches to running on power from a trolley wire 12 through the pantograph 12B. When the train has passed the dead section 2, it is restored by the voltage of the trolley wire 12, and runs on power from the trolley wire 12 through the pantographs 12A and 12B. As a result, the train can pass through sections with different mode of power supply in power running state, and high speed operation is feasible. |
