PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic camera where a complicated internal circuit of the electronic camera and a large size of the camera can be avoided and that is provided with an automatic focus detection means that detects a focus at higher speed with high precision. SOLUTION: The electronic camera generates an electric image signal by using a photoelectric conversion element CCD 5 so as to apply photoelectric conversion to an object image formed through a photographing optical system. The electronic camera is provided with an automatic focus detection means (comprising the CCD 5, focus detection lenses 8a, 8b and an image re-forming lens 7) that automatically detects a focal position by detecting a phase difference of object images and a light guide means (comprising a half mirror 4 and a mirror 6) that guides part of a luminous flux passing through the photographing optical system to the automatic focus detection means. |
