PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disable a bar, etc., to be inserted into the gap between the flank of a fitting plate and a cabinet body. SOLUTION: The telephone set cabinet which is provided with the fitting plate 16 for mounting and fixing a telephone set in the cabinet body 11 wherein the telephone set is stored so that the fitting plate can be slid forward is provided with side spacers 18A and 18B made of lubricant plastic resin nearby the front end part of the internal surface of the cabinet body 11 which adjoins to the fitting plate 16 so that the gap formed between the cabinet body 11 and the flank of the fitting plate 16 is closed and also provided with side spacers 20A and 20B at the front end of the flank of the fitting plate 16; and the side spacers 18A, etc., and 20A, etc., are formed having recesses and when the fitting plate 16 is stored in the cabinet body 11, the recesses of the side spacers 18A, etc., and 20A, etc., engage each other.
