<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique which can evaluate the wall motion of the heart based on a heart image acquired by various kinds of medical image diagnostic apparatuses. <P>SOLUTION: The trait point designation processing section 3 of a wall motion measuring device 1 designates trait points in the image areas Ci of the coronary arteries extracted from each of two or more heart images Gi. An identification information grant processing section 4 gives identification information to each designated specifying point. A trait point verification section 51 performs the verification of the trait points of heart images Gi, G(i+1) of a continuous frame by reference to the given identification information. A displacement calculation section 53 computes displacement between frames in the heart images Gi, G(i+1) about the compared trait points.
