PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high capacity for an alkaline dry cell and prevent degradation in a heavy load characteristic after storage. SOLUTION: Increase in internal resistance and degradation in a heavy load characteristic after storage can be prevented even if the content of graphite powder in a positive electrode mix is decreased by using, as a positive electrode can of an alkaline dry cell, (1) a can made by forming a nickel-iron alloy plated layer 11 on one surface of a cold-rolled steel plate 9 having nickel plated layers 10 formed on its both surfaces in advance, and by drawing and ironing so as to set the one surface to the inside surface, (2) a can made by heat-treating the cold-rolled steel plate having the nickel plated layers formed on its both surfaces in advance by forming the nickel-iron alloy plated layer between the steel plate and the nickel plated layer, and by performing the above mentioned process to the steel plate, or (3) a can made by forming the nickel plated layer on one surface of the cold-rolled steel plate, by forming the nickel-iron alloy plated layer on the other surface, and by performing the above mentioned process so as to set the nickel-iron alloy plated layer to the inside surface. |
