PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve brightness of a liq. crystal display device with limiting to one prism sheet elevating front brightness by effectively converging diffused light of a back light in viewing angle. SOLUTION: A reflecting plate 2 and diffusion plate 3 are respectively arranged on a backside and a front side of a light source of a back light, and a liq. crystal panel 4 provided with an incident light polarizing plate 5 and an emitting light polarizing plate 6 on both of its surface and back faces is arranged on a front side of the diffusion plate 3. A prism sheet 8 is arranged between the diffusion plate 3 and the liq. crystal panel 4. And an edge line A0 of the prism sheet 8 is fixed in a left and right directions. Further a transmission axis direction B0 of the incident light polarizing plate 5 is fixed in the up and down directions substantially at right angle to the edge line direction A0 of the prism sheet 8. |
