A container connector comprising a connector body integrally having an upper fitting portion and a lower fitting portion and fittable in an engaging hole of a corner bracket of a container, a shaft fitted turnably and vertically movably in the connector body, an upper fitting member connected integrally to the upper end of the shaft and engageable with the engaging hole of the corner bracket, and a lower fitting member fixed to the lower fitting portion at a position where the lower fitting member is superposed on the lower fitting portion and having a detachable engaging member slidably inserted in the engaging hole of the corner bracket, wherein the shaft is biased by spring means in the direction where the upper member is engaged with the engaging hole of the corner bracket, wherein the engaging member is biased by spring means to retract into the lower fitting member, wherein when the shaft is at a descended position, the engaging member is in contact with the shaft, protrudes from the lower fitting member against the biasing force of the spring means and engages with the engaging hole of the corner bracket to prevent the separation of the lower fitting member, and wherein when the shaft is at an ascended position, the engaging member separates from the shaft and is retracted into the lower fitting member by the biasing force of the spring means to cancel the engagement with the engaging hole thereby to allow the lower fitting member to separate. |
