Cylinder lock and flat key

The cylinder has a sprung housing pin (3) belonging to a core pin (7) which has a stop piece (4) restricting its displacement. The end surface of the housing pin, in the stop position lies inside the housing hole (5) near the core hole. The end surface of the housing pin forms the base of a cavity (6) into which the core pin fits in a locking position. The connection between the key (9) and the core pin has at least one sloping surface (14) for lifting the core pin out of the locking position into a release position. The head of the core pin has a V-shaped groove in the side of its outer surface. The protruding flank (14) on the front of the key forms part of a hooked tooth (15).
