FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining a number of oxidation-antioxidation blood system indices like lipid hydroperoxides as LHP, blood serum malonic dialdehyde as MDA, general blood serum peroxidation activity as GBSPA, blood serum catalase as C and plasma superoxidasmutase in the initial disease stage. Oxidation-antioxidation coefficient is calculated from a formula OAC (in conventional units)= <EMI ID=0.1 HE=12 WI=83 TI=CHI>, where LHPI, MDAI, GPAH, SODI, CI are the values denoting the studied biochemical indices in patients suffering from erysipelas; LHPH, MDAH, GPAI, SODI, CI are the values denoting the same biochemical indices in healthy patients. OAC value being found greater than 2.0 CU, bullous or hemorrhagic erysipelas development progress is predicted to take place in the next day.
