SLIDE VALVE PLATE, AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide valve plate which is free from any damages to a joined mortar part, cracks in a cylindrical body or around a through hole, or chipping in an edge part through the sliding of upper and lower plates. SOLUTION: A slide valve plate comprises a plate body 11 and a sleeve 13 having an annular projection 15 fitted to a through hole 12 formed in the plate body 11. In the plate body 11, a stepped part 16 is formed by an expanded part provided corresponding to the annular projection 15 of the sleeve 13, and an out-flow hole 14 to make a molten metal flow out is formed in the sleeve 13. The plate body 11 is connected to and integrated with the sleeve 13 with a mortar, and a releasing member 17 may be interposed between the stepped part 16 formed in the through hole 12 in the plate body 11 and the annular projection 15 of the sleeve 13.
