METHOD FOR DRIVING FAN MOTOR OF REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A fan motor driving method is provided to compose a simple circuit and to reduce cost by detecting the position of a rotor by using a hall sensor and directly controlling the speed of a fan motor by a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION: A fan motor driving method comprises the steps of: judging the starting of a fan motor sensed by a hall sensor by a microcomputer; exciting the opposite phase if the position of a rotor is sensed by the hall sensor; exciting a following phase if the position of the rotor is sensed by the hall sensor when the rotor is reversed; judging if the speed of the fan motor is over a predetermined speed; feeding speed command value to the fan motor if the speed of the fan motor is over the predetermined speed; exciting the opposite phase if the position of the rotor is sensed by the hall sensor; and turning off the first and the second phases when the speed command time is elapsed. The motor driving method makes the speed of the fan motor to be controlled directly by the microcomputer. Thereby, the circuit is composed compactly, and the cost is reduced.
