PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the transparency of pool water while reducing the running cost of the device for purifying pool water by ozone. SOLUTION: This device is used to purify by ozone the water filtered with a filter 2 of a pool water circulating and filtering system. The device is composed of an ozonizer 3, booster pump 8, ejector 9 and dissolution tank 10, etc., and the device is further provided with an absorptiometer 4 connected to a pipeline 5 to let the flitered water flow through. The wavelength for measuring absorbance can be set close to 360 nm by the control knob 4a of the absorptiometer 4. By setting the wavelength close to 360 nm, the absorbance of even such highly transparent water as pool water is clearly distinguished, and the ozone generation of the ozonizer is adjusted on the basis of the objective numerical value to save energy, and the transparency is excellently maintained.
