DEODORIZING AND STERILIZING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing and sterilizing device which is capable of safely and effectively deodorizing and sterilizing interior air, etc. without using harmful medicines. SOLUTION: The gas to be treated is treated by a deodorizing and sterilizing device which has a photocatalyst device 4 which has two stages of honeycomb- shaped titanium oxide 2 and a lamp 2 for titanium oxide of a wavelength 365 nm arranged therebetween and a UV lamp 5 for sterilization of a wavelength 254 nm which is arranged downstream thereof. The treating gas flowing from downstream is subjected to deodorization and sterilization for two stages by the photocatalyst device 4 and thereafter, the remaining bacteria are sterilized by the UV lamp 5 for sterilization for downstream.
