PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the non-repetitive accuracy of the retainer rotating period. SOLUTION: The pocket gap (h) of a retainer 6 is made a specified value decided by the radial direction component due to the axial load of the ball contacting, the rigidity in radial direction of the ball contacting, the pitch circle radius of ball arrangement, and the diametric difference between balls. That is, the pocket gap (h) in mm should be expressed by h=0.49×S/(Fab/Krb)×Rp, where Fab in N is the radial direction component, Krb in N/μm is the rigidity in radial direction, Rp in mm is the pitch circle radius of ball arrangement, and S inμm is the diametric difference between balls.
