PURPOSE: A disk type recording medium and a disk cartridge is to solve the problem of the center of the center core being offset by installing at least one center location adjusting opening and to improve the evenness of the mounted side of the center core by the safe pressing process. CONSTITUTION: A medium and cartridge comprises a recording medium(1), a center core(3),a cell(4), a disk cartridge(5), a shutter(8), a driving hole(38), a center location adjusting opening(39), and a revival opening(43). The disk type recording medium(1) comprises a main body of the recording medium(2) which has a disk form, and a center core(3) located at the center of the recording medium. The disk type recording medium is arrayed in the cell(4) in order to from the disk cartridge(5). The disk type recording medium rotates in the cell. A center hole(21) is located at the center of the disk type recording medium on order to insert the center core(3). The cell(4) includes upper cell and lower cell. The shutter(8) is biased by the coil spring(9).
