PURPOSE: A control method of audio mode in television is provided to promote the convenience of user by automatically shifting to most probable audio mode in channel shift. CONSTITUTION: A control method of audio mode in television comprises a step making and storing a database about the audio mode use status of respective channel, a step searching most probable audio mode, a step processing audio signals, and a step automatically converting into the most probable audio mode by using the database to process it even in non shift status of the channel. The audio mode is classified by date and time. The most probable audio mode is searched by reading the stored database in channel shift. The audio mode is processed after converted to the searched audio mode.
