PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hierarchized transmission method high in versatility with convertional equipment and capable of preventing the number of pins from increasing in a cable by inserting peculiar information by time division, which is necessary for a ground digital broadcasting system except DVB-SPI, hierarchizing it and transmitting it in the invalid data transmission period of a transmission period end in information which is stipulated by means of DVB- SPI. SOLUTION: Information transmission stipulated by DVB-SPI is executed by a 204-byte transmission format. A section to be used as actual data in it is 188 bytes and 16 bytes after them are an invalid data transmission period. Even when another kinds of data is inserted to the period, the interface device of DVB is not affected by it. Therefore, respective kinds of information are inputted to a time division hierarchizing device 2 arranged in a studio device 1 in addition to MPEG2 data and hierarchized by time division. Then the invalid data transmission period is utilized so that only one transmission path 5 is enough. |
