PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handset for which the weight is felt lighter than that of conventional handset and a receiver is pressed into contact in parallel with a case to make acoustic performance stable. SOLUTION: A handset main body is assembled with a case 11 and a cover 12 in pairs with each other by a main body tightening screw 13 and consists of a receiver locator pin 11-1 which is especially provided to the case 11, a receiver 14 contained in the case 11, a receiver positioning hole 14-1 especially provided to the receiver, a cushion 15 that keeps close contact between the case 11 and the receiver 14, a transmission use microphone 16 that is contained in the case 11, a holder 17 that keeps close contact between the case 11 and the transmission use microphone 16, and a weight 19 that is contained in the case 11 and fixed by a weight tightening screw 18. Since end points 19-2, 19-3 are provided especially to the weight 19, that is, since the center of gravity is set to the center or its vicinity of the handset main body, the sense of weight of the handset is response to the mass which is necessary and sufficient for the handset is obtained, and the receiver 14 can be pressed into contact in parallel with the case 11 without requirements of precision of the face configuration of the case 11 to press the receiver into contact in parallel.
