Granules for use in detergents, especially detergents containing peroxide bleaches, comprise a phosphonate and a surfactant

Granules (I) for use in detergents contain 0.2-25 wt.% phosphonate and 20-80 wt.% surfactant. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) production of phosphonate granules by granulating and preferably simultaneously drying an aqueous phosphonate solution and an aqueous surfactant or surfactant precursor paste, where the liquid components are either mixed before being introducing into the granulator or sprayed separately into the granulator. (2) a granular detergent that has a bulk density above 700 g/l and contains a peroxide bleach and a phosphonate, comprising at least 60 wt.% of a base detergent to which (I) and granules containing a peroxide bleach have been added; (3) production of a granular detergent that has a bulk density above 700 g/l and contains a peroxide bleach and a phosphonate by adding (I) to a base detergent.
