<p>An automatic separator/extractor and a control method therefor capable of providing a quick and positive extraction or separation of a precipitate and a supernatant having higher qualities, accuracies and reliabilities than can be attained manually in various fields, particularly, in medicine, agriculture, science and pharmacy. The separator/extractor comprises a carrying means for carrying a container mounted thereon along a closed route, a dispensing unit for dispensing a reagent into the container on the carrying means, a liquid treating unit for discharging and/or extracting liquids other than a precipitate in the container on the carrying means, a separation device for separating the contents in the container on the carrying means and/or on other means, a container moving means for carrying in or out the container to/from the carrying means and/or the separation device, and an operation/control unit for performing operation-control on the carrying means, dispensing unit, liquid treating unit, container moving means and separation device.</p> |
