PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disaster preventing simple helmet convenient for keeping on hand, having excellent protection and maintenance, for guarding a head part by providing a helmet main body with a specific bag body having a hollow part. SOLUTION: This helmet comprises a helmet main body 2 provided with a bag body 7 having a hollow part. The bag body 7 is swollen and becomes a cushioning body when the hollow part is packed with a packing material. The helmet is equipped with a packing apparatus 6 for filling the packing material into the hollow part. Preferably the packing apparatus 6 is connected through a connecting pipe 25 to the helmet main body and is equipped with a cylindrical grip part 23 having a built-in gas cylinder filled with the packing material and with a movable part 24 which is arranged at the tip of the grip part 23 and movable relatively close to the grip part 23 and injects the packing material from the gas cylinder when brought close to the grip part 23. Preferably the helmet is equipped with a lighting system 28 which is lit when the movable part 24 is moved close to the grip part 23 and with an oscillator 19 for sending a signal of fixed frequency and further with an air intake cleaning apparatus 5 and an eye protecting member 4.
