PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a grain oriented silicon steel sheet having a magnetic domain fractionating effect allowing it to withstand stress relieving annealing in the producing process of a coiled iron core, usable for coiled both iron cores, stably reduced in core loss, moreover free from deterioration in magnetic flux density, suppressed in the deformation of the steel sheet, also applicable to a loaded iron core, furthermore reducing loads on producing equipment and excellent in magnetic properties and to provide a method for producing it. SOLUTION: Linear grooves 2 or grooves 2 in the shape of the sequence of points or heat affected layers 3 are formed on surface and back both faces in pairs, the positional slippage in the surface and back faces is the one equal to or below the width in the rolling direction of the grooves or heat affected layers, and, moreover, each groove depth (d) of the surface and back faces is <=5% of the sheet thickness. Furthermore, by using a laser, the grooves or heat affected layers are formed. |
