PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry joint material which is free from exposure to the outside of an external wall, and capable of preventing interference with externally fitted parts and degradation of the appearance. SOLUTION: A dry joint material 11 is provided with a joint material body 17 which seals a horizontal joint 15 and has a recessed part 19 formed along the longitudinal direction of the horizontal joint 15, and a joint cover 21 having a base part 22 to be fitted in the recessed part 19 of the joint material body 17. The joint material body 17 is formed of an elastic material 29, and the base part 22 is elastically held by fitting the base part 22 into the recessed part 19. The dry horizontal joint material 11 is provided across a longitudinal joint 16, a drain container 31 is provided on the upper side of the horizontal joint material 11 at an intersection part of the horizontal joint 15 with the longitudinal joint 16, and a drainage 32 to drain water outside is provided in the drain container 31.
