PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a zirconium composite magnesium alloy which improves a mold filling rate/fluidity of a magnesium alloy molten metal containing a zirconium particle, heat resistance, wear resistance and enhances a cast finish machining surface precision. SOLUTION: While causing an argon gas to flow to a matrix metal test specimen 10 molten metal of a magnesium base metal (including alloy), the material, in which a surface of a ZrO particle is plated, is gradually added for a few minutes through a glass funnel. At this time, a stainless steel agitating piece 8 is connected to a device consisting of a DC motor 1, a joint 2 and a torque meter 3 and melting is conducted in high speed agitation at 800-950 deg.C higher than the melting point of the specimen 10. The change in the matrix metal specimen 10 is recorded by a CA(chromel-alumel) thermocouple 7 to conduct temp. control of an electric furnace 11.
