PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-dispersible silicone compsn. which exhibits long- lasting mold release properties, abrasion resistance, nonstickiness, water repellency, etc., by incorporating an A-B type block copolymer comprising segment A consisting of a polysiloxane-group-contg. (co)polymer and segment B consisting of a hydrophilic-group-contg. (co)polymer, an org. solvent, and water into the same. SOLUTION: Segment A is a homopolymer of a polysiloxane-group-contg. monomer or a copolymer of a polysiloxane-group-contg. monomer and a water- soluble vinyl monomer. The polysiloxane-group-contg. monomer is represented by formula I or II (wherein R is H or methyl, or R is methyl, ethyl, phenyl or the like, or R is H, phenyl, or the like, or R is methyl, ethyl, hydroxyl, or phenyl; and n is 1-2,000). Segment B is e.g. a homopolymer of a water-soluble vinyl monomer. Pref., the wt. ratio of segment A to segment B in the A-B type block copolymer is (25/75)-(90/10).
