PURPOSE: A method for controlling barbecue cooking of a microwave oven is provided to remove the fat of the food by intermittently driving a motor for barbecue cooking, thereby performing the optimum barbecue cooking. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling barbecue cooking of a microwave oven includes the steps of driving load of the microwave oven in state of inputting barbecue cooking and continuously driving a motor for barbecue cooking in one direction(S201-S203), judging whether the continuous driving state passes a predetermined time and intermittently driving the motor for barbecue cooking if the continuous driving state passes the predetermined time(S204-S205), and terminating the barbecue cooking by stopping load of the microwave oven if the cooking time is completed according to the intermittent driving of the motor for barbecue cooking(S206-S208).
