摘要 PURPOSE: An internal power supply voltage generating circuit is provided to reduce a current consumption flowing through a circuit for an active mode at a standby mode, and to perform a switching from the standby mode to the active mode speedily. CONSTITUTION: An internal power supply voltage generating circuit comprises a differential comparison circuit for an active mode(10), a differential comparison circuit for a standby mode(12) and an output driver(14). The differential comparison circuit for the active mode(10) is enabled responsive to a control signal, and compares a differential between a reference voltage and an internal power supply voltage to generate an output signal. The differential comparison circuit for the standby mode(20) compares a differential between the reference voltage and the internal power supply voltage at the standby mode and at the active mode to then generate an output signal. The output driver generates the internal power supply voltage in response to the output signals from the differential comparison circuits(10,20). The size of respective transistors composed of the comparison circuit(10) and the output driver(14) is larger than that of the comparison circuit(20).
