PURPOSE: A device for detecting actual velocity using a ROM table is provided to perform an addressing of a ROM table by using data of a ROM table. CONSTITUTION: A multiply/division selector(3) obtains a proper resolution by multiplying or dividing a frequency of a velocity signal inputted from an input terminal(1) for enhancing a data resolution of a high speed section being declined a resolution caused by change of an inclination in accordance with velocity sections. An address generator(4) inputs a velocity signal from the multiply/division selector(3), and counts by a high speed clock during a period of a velocity signal, and generates an address accessing a ROM table built in the data of velocity(frequency)-voltage profile. A ROM(5) having a plurality of ROM tables stores the data of velocity(frequency)-voltage profile separated in accordance with each velocity section, and outputs data corresponded to an address inputted from the address generator(4) in the ROM table selected in a ROM table selector(8). A portion of the outputted data feeds back to the ROM table selector(8) and selects the next ROM table from a ROM table data. An analogue-digital converter(17) converts digital data outputted from the ROM table into an analogue voltage signal, and outputs the signal to an output terminal(2).
