摘要 PURPOSE: A method for determining a master CIP(Channel Interface Processor) in base station systems is provided to avoid a situation in which a service is impossible for a certain time after a BCP(Base transceiver subsystem Control Processor) is activated, and make a master that the BCP knows equal to a real master, by setting one of CIPs as the master. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of buffers(master_cip(0)-master_cip(7)) are initialized to have a value(Oxff). State flags(state_flag),(ka_stas) of each of buffers(cip_state_inform(0)-cip_state_inform(23)) are initialized. A keep_alive message is sent to the CIP, and a response message of the sent message is received. An ID of the CIP is obtained from the received response message. A master of a shelf is determined on a basis of the ID, and then a message is sent to the CIP, and thereby the master CIP is determined. If the CIP receives a message, it sends the response message that includes a flag(mast_cip) having a value(ON(1)), and otherwise records a value(OFF) in the flag(mast_cip). If a value recorded in the flag(mast_cip) of the shelf is not equal to the ID of the CIP, a message for designating a disabled state is sent to the CIP.
