<p>Methods are disclosed for the treatment of non-thyroid disorders which respond to IGF, respond to IGFBP-3, or which are IGF-dependent. Thyroid axis agonists and IGF are administered to subjects suffering from non-thyroid disorders which respond to IGF, alleviating the symptoms of the disorders. Thyroid axis antagonists and IGFBP-3 are administered to subjects suffering from non-thyroid disorders which respond to IGFBP-3, alleviating the symptoms of the disorders. Thyroid axis antagonists are administered to subjects suffering from IGF-dependent non-thyroid disorders, thereby alleviating the symptoms of the disorders.</p> |
