A centrifugal lamella clutch has a tub-like drum (10) and a rotor (12) with a number of disc-shaped lamellae (14) on a shaft (13). The hub (141) and centrifugal weights (142) are linked by a rocker bar (143). When the engine speed exceeds a given tickover threshold, the weights (142) are deflected outwards and engage the inner surface of the drum (10). The lamella contour width continually narrows from the hub (141) towards the centrifugal weights (142).
