<p>The present invention relates to an information access system in which a personal computer system having a CPU, memory and a storage media is contained within a remote kiosk. The system allows for updates to the software and hardware to be administered by non-computer-skilled employees. The updates merely require the insertion of a disk or the like in which data is automatically transferred to the kiosk. The auto-install feature allows for personal computers having complex GUI operating systems and other software applications to be operated and maintained by non-computer-skilled operators.</p> |
