PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for replacing rolls of a rolling mill which shortens the time after taking out the mill rolls from a rolling stand till the ground mill rolls are made to be in waiting for installing in the mill, by smoothly removing/installing the chocks. SOLUTION: An equipment stacked with chock removing/installing devices 43a, 43b, 43c and 43d is removed from the rolling stand by operating a crane. The chocks 25a, 25b, 25c and 25d are removed at once from mill rolls 24a, 24b, 24c and 24d to be loaded on a truck in 2 steps or 4 steps, and inserted into the ground mill rolls to be loaded on a spare truck in 2 steps or 4 steps.
