PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyurethane urea resin having excellent recovery from elongation by reacting an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer made from a combination of a high-molecular-weight polyol with a monool having a specified or lower hydroxy value with a chain extender containing a mixture containing a diamine and a monoamine in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: A monool having a hydroxy value of 60 or below is used in combination. The chain extender used partially consists of a mixture containing a diamine and at most 10 mol%, based on the diamine, monoamine. The rate of the monool having a hydroxy value of 60 or below to the high-molecular- weight polyol is desirably 1-15 mol%. It is desirable that the high-molecular- weight polyol contains a polyoxyalkylenepolyol having an oxypropylene group or a mixture thereof with polyoxytetramethylene polyol. The polyoxyalkylene polyol used is desirably one produced by using a complex metal cyanide complex as the polymerization catalyst and is desirably one having an average hydroxy value of 2-4.
