PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device by which even firmly compacted lumpy material can be effectively broken up and effective discharge work of the broken-up pieces can be done and which excels in uniformity of the quantity of the pieces per unit gas volume on discharge. SOLUTION: A pair of rotors 5 having the same height for scraping off the bottom surface of lumpy material 2 inserted into a casing 1 are equipped for this device. Below the rotors 5, an agitating rotor 8 for agitating the scraped-off pieces and a feeding rotor 12 for feeding the pieces agitated by the agitating rotor 8 are arranged. And on a casing sidewall 14 facing the feeding rotor 12, a takeoff port 17 is formed.
