PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a crack of a rolling band, and to allow usage for measurement of a rotational parameter of a wheel or the like, by transmitting a programable frequency and time-successive ultrasonic pulses toward a passing wheel, and by receiving a generated ultrasonic plot signal as a digital signal. SOLUTION: Feelers P1-P4 include ultrasonic surface wave transceivers and assembled type wheel detectors 11, and a guide rail and the feeler are fitted to a wheel 9 to adjust a level on a rail beam 1. An ultrasonic device 12 transmits a programable frequency and time-successive ultrasonic pulses to the wheel 9 to generate ultrasonic plots corresponding to the wheel 9 to be collected. A local processor 13 controls the ultrasonic device 12, and a generated ultrasonic plot signal is received as a digital form. A computor 14 conducts transmission of an operation command for the ultrasonic device 12, collection, arrangement and accumulation of measured results, and preparation of an appropriate report. |
