PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label material which does not drop from a material to be glued such as clothes. SOLUTION: In this label material wet type nylon is installed on one surface of a nylon fabric or nylon/polyester sheath-core fabric as a base material 2. This label display is obtained by applying a coating material 8 prepared by dissolving nylon in a calcium chloride and methanol solution to the both sides of two superposed sheets of nylon fabric or of nylon/polyester sheath-core fabric while moving the fabric from the upper side to the lower side, dipping it in water to solidify a coating film and to extract the solvent, drying it, and separating the two sheets of the fabric. The sum of the amounts of the wet type nylon existing in the base material 2 and on the backside of the base material 2 is made to be 20 wt.% or less of the total amount of the wet type nylon existing in a layer consisting of the wet type nylon, in the base material 2, and on the backside of the base material 2.
