PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an accident of pricking with an injection needle when inserting the needle into a cap (or a needle hub) by forming a protection cover having a cylindrical insertion hole processed to fix the cover at a mouth of the cap and being extendable like an umbrella from a transparent or a semitrans parent material. SOLUTION: A protection cover 3a is simply cylindrical and is of a non-bulky shape easy to be handle at a state before use. When such a protection cover 3a is inserted into a cap 2 (or a needle hub) of an injection needle 1, the cover 3a is fixed at a mouth of the cap 2 and folded gathers of the protection cover 3a are extended by fingers to be a state like an open umbrella. Since an outer diameter of the protection cover 3a becomes a size for covering fingers holding the cap 2 or the handle hub of the injection needle 1, an accident of pricking can be prevented. When the injection needle 1 is discarded, the injection needle 1 after use is contained in the cap 2 and the protection cover 3a is contracted to an original shape. |
