PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor camera controller which can easily track even a mobile object that moves at high speed or suddenly changes its moving speed. SOLUTION: This controller consists of plural video cameras 10 which photograph a moving object, a turning device 6 which changes the photographing directions of cameras 10, a selection part 12 which selects an arbitrary camera 10 or plural arbitrary cameras 10 in accordance a with an instruction, a monitor 3 which shows the mobile object that is photographed by each camera 10, a video output part 13 which outputs the video signals of cameras 10 to the monitor 3, an image recognition part 14 which calculates the tracking control information on the moving object from the image information obtained, based on the video signals received from the part 13 and outputs the result of this calculation, an operation part 15 which outputs an instruction according to the operating contents of a supervisor and a control part 11. In such a constitution, the zooming operation, etc., of each camera 10 can be controlled based on the instruction given from the part 15, and the information given from the part 14 and the device 6 is also controlled.
