PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can prevent a sealant from oozing, has an excellent displaying performance and improve the reliability and yield. SOLUTION: An array substrate and a counter substrate are stuck together with a sealant 106. Projecting parts 410 are provided in a region to be coated with the sealant 106 located on a wiring pattern 108 along a display area 102 side and along a peripheral area 104 side. The sealant 106 is prevented from oozing along the wiring pattern 108 thereby.
