PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform a variety of processing by using a reading part of a data processor for performing data communication through a communication line by providing a control means or the like which controls so that picture data from the reading part are transferred to first and second memories or to an information processing terminal through a connection part. SOLUTION: An operator sets an original to a scanner 2-7 and indicates copy operation by key operation from an operation part 2-8. A CPU 2-1 of a facsimile control part reads the original from the scanner 2-7 according to an inputted indication from the operation part 2-8. Under the control of the CPU 2-1, the read original information performs processing such as picture processing, resolution conversion, encoding/decoding, modulation or recording and is transmitted from a line through an NCU 2-5. Then, the picture data obtained by reading a picture on the original by the scanner 2-7 are transferred to a recording memory, a transmission memory or an information processing terminal; by so doing, it is possible to appropriately to have the data processed respectively.
