PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic recorder which surely removes electrified toner of an opposite polarity stuck to an electrifying roller. SOLUTION: A carrying path 11 through which a cleaning medium is passed is formed so as to surround the electrifying roller 2. The cleaning medium is passed between the electrifying roller 2 and a photoreceptor 1, thereby positively electrifying the photoreceptor 1. Also, by stopping the application of a negative voltage to the electrifying roller 2, the positively electrified toner on the electrifying roller 2 stick to the cleaning medium.
