PURPOSE: A pointer is provided to detect a movement of a cursor according to a fine two-dimensional pattern and adjust the movement by wireless. CONSTITUTION: A pointer for detecting a movement of a cursor comprises a sensor for detecting a particular pattern, a signal treating portion for detecting a moving direction and a moving speed by the sensor, and a means which transfers a result obtained from the signal treating portion to a monitor and displays the cursor on a desired position of the monitor. The particular pattern is a fingerprint pattern and the sensor is a fingerprint sensor. Alternatively, The particular pattern is a predetermined two-dimensional pattern having a special shape, and the senor comprises a first sensor which detects a movement of an arranged direction of a pattern arranged in one direction, and a second sensor which detects a movement of an arranged direction of a pattern arranged in the other direction. Thereby, the pointer can sense a particular pattern and detects a movement of the sensed pattern so as to display the cursor on a desired position of the monitor. |
